Alma Hills – Project Update

Dear Alma Hills Friends,
We would like to give you an update on what we have been working on over the past few weeks and share the next steps of our journey.
Infrastructure:
Visible progress is being made across the property, step by step.
A large part of the lots has already been cleared. The next large-scale mowing with the tractor is planned for the second half of July.
The forest lots are currently being cleared in preparation for the upcoming construction projects. We have started with Natascha's property, located above the holiday resort.
Almost all roads have now been opened. We are especially pleased that we were able to preserve most of the existing trees. Our goal is to maintain the natural beauty of Alma Hills as much as possible.
At the same time, extensive earthworks are underway to level the terrain where necessary and prepare the area for the upcoming construction phases.
We have also made important progress with the infrastructure. The master plan for the electrical network has been completed, and we are currently obtaining quotations for its implementation.
For anyone planning to build, a temporary single-phase electricity connection and water supply are already available.
New Access Road from Ruta D:
Today we are happy to share some particularly exciting news.
Following successful discussions with our neighboring landowner, we have reached an agreement that will allow Alma Hills to have its own direct access from Ruta D.
The plan is to build a paved access road leading directly to the main entrance of Alma Hills. The next steps are obtaining the necessary permits and preparing for construction.
At the same time, we are beginning the planning of the perimeter fencing and the future access from the holiday resort.
First Homes:
We are very happy to announce that the first private home is now entering the planning stage.
Natascha will build her future home on her property above the holiday resort, marking the beginning of our growing neighborhood.
Tres Mangos Holiday Resort:
Our holiday resort continues to grow as well.
The first bungalows are currently receiving their roofs, and work has also begun on roofing the lodge. Between the rainy periods, we make the most of every dry hour to keep construction moving forward.
Food Forest & Community Garden:
Another important milestone is our collaboration with Viktor, an experienced permaculture consultant from the Areguá region.
He will lead the development of our Food Forest and community self-sufficiency garden. Planning and the first practical work will begin in August.
We will create a dedicated information channel for this project and keep you regularly updated on its progress.
Timeline:
This exceptionally rainy year has slowed down many of our construction activities, meaning we are currently slightly behind our original schedule.
Nevertheless, we remain optimistic and continue to focus on completing every step carefully and sustainably. For us, quality is more important than speed.
Our Growing Community:
The first sales phase is developing very positively.
Many lots have already been sold through our personal network. We have known most of the owners for many years, and we have also had the pleasure of personally meeting the new families.
What makes us especially happy is that Alma Hills is attracting exactly the kind of people who are looking for a life close to nature, a strong community, and mutual support.
Several families are already planning to begin building their homes later this year, with more families expected to follow next year.
In October, we are expecting several families from Europe to visit Alma Hills. If everything goes according to plan, we would like to celebrate this occasion with our very first Alma Hills Community Gathering.
By then, we also hope that the lodge at Tres Mangos Resort will be completed.
Forest Camp School & WISE Academy:
Our educational project is also continuing to evolve.
With WISE Academy, our long-term vision is to establish a foundation that promotes education, a connection with nature, and the protection and preservation of forests and biodiversity.
Our plan is to create a private Forest School with project-based learning, combining forest education, Montessori principles, self-directed learning, and the educational requirements of Paraguay.
Together with our attorney, we have already clarified the legal framework for this project.
We are currently looking for one or two passionate teachers who would like to help shape this vision with us.
Marketing &
Recommendations:
Over the coming weeks, we will continue expanding our international marketing strategy and gradually increase the visibility of Alma Hills.
Our goal remains the same:
We want to build a community that continues to grow through personal recommendations and genuine connections.
