Alma Hills – Project Update
August 2026

Winter at Alma Hills
Winter at Alma Hills is showing a very special side this year.
We are experiencing clear, sunny days, fresh mornings, and at the same time an exceptionally high amount of rainfall. Nature is lush and green, everything is growing and thriving – and the land is showing us very clearly just how alive this place is.
While nature follows its own rhythm, we continue to move forward step by step.
Work is being done, plans are being made, construction is underway, and preparations are being made. Alma Hills is increasingly developing from an idea into a real place to live.

This particularly rainy winter has also shown us where we need to further improve our infrastructure and adapt it to the natural conditions of the land.
The main roads at Alma Hills have been reinforced with gravel (ripio). This means that even during heavy rainfall, cars, construction vehicles, and trucks can continue to access the property and deliver materials and supplies to the construction sites.
This is especially important during the current development and construction phase so that work can continue even under difficult weather conditions.
And all the rain also has a positive side:
We can observe exactly where the water naturally wants to flow.
This allows us to identify at an early stage where rainwater management needs to be optimized and to plan the future infrastructure accordingly.
Nature shows us where the water wants to go – and we can learn
from it.

The First Residential Home Is Taking Shape
A very special milestone has been reached:
The first residential home at Alma Hills has been fully planned, the construction contract has been signed, and construction is scheduled to begin during the week starting August 17, 2026.
This means that what has so far existed in planning is now becoming a concrete reality.
For us, this is a special moment.
Because this is exactly why we developed Alma Hills:
Not simply to sell plots of land, but to create a place where families can build their own homes while at the same time becoming part of a special community.
With the first house, a new phase begins for Alma Hills.
Plots of land become a neighborhood.

Our Community Is Growing
Alma Hills is not only growing in terms of construction – our community is growing as well.
Of a total of 102 plots in Phase 1, 47 plots have already been allocated.
This means that 55 plots are currently still available.
More and more families and individuals are getting to know Alma Hills personally and deciding to become part of this special community.
What is particularly important to us is that we do not simply want to sell as many plots as possible.
We want to bring together people who share similar ideas about nature, family, freedom, and respectful coexistence.
Alma Hills is growing – and with every new owner come new ideas, skills, and concepts that make our future community more vibrant and diverse.
A lot has also happened at the Tres Mangos Resort over the past few weeks.
The first two family bungalows are currently being completed.
At the same time, the walls of the three studio bungalows are being built, and they are increasingly taking on their final shape.
Paths and terrace areas around the bungalows have already been prepared.
Rainwater management was also taken into account during the planning process and prepared accordingly.
The exceptionally heavy rainfall this year is helping us to closely observe the natural watercourses across the land.

Tres Mangos – Visible Progress

A year with heavy rainfall therefore shows us not only challenges, but also opportunities:
We can see where the water naturally finds its way, allowing us to plan early and design future drainage in a sensible and sustainable way.
The lodge is also taking shape more and more. The natural thatched roof is now almost completely finished.
Even now, the lodge gives us a first impression of just how special this entire area of Tres Mangos will become.
The natural architecture and thatched roofing blend beautifully into the landscape and give the lodge its own unique character.
The children’s playground has also been planned and commissioned.
The small fitted kitchens, as well as additional pieces of furniture for the first two family bungalows, have also been ordered.
Tres Mangos is visibly becoming the place we envisioned.
We are very much looking forward to seeing life arrive here soon and welcoming our first guests.
An International Family Community
Alma Hills is becoming increasingly international.
People from different countries and cultures are coming together – and it is precisely this mix that makes the future community so exciting for us.
This week, for example, we had the pleasure of meeting a family from Brazil with four children who are particularly interested in alternative learning and educational concepts.
A very lovely family from Switzerland also visited us. Together with their four adult children, they are interested in working together and exploring potential projects in the region.
Among other things, we held initial discussions about the possible development of a small commercial park near the residential park.
And that is exactly what makes Alma Hills so special to us:
Ideas emerge through and together with the people who come together here.
In the coming months, we expect more families and interested people who would like to get to know Alma Hills personally.
Because in the end, it is not the roads, houses, or buildings that turn a place into a home.
It is the people.

Food Forest & Self-Sufficiency
Our concept for the food forest and self-sufficiency garden is also continuing to develop.
Our goal is to create a living ecosystem that produces food over the long term, promotes biodiversity, and at the same time can become a place for learning and meeting for the residents of Alma Hills.
We want to work with permaculture, natural cycles, and the existing landscape.
Our children should also be part of this project.
They should have the opportunity to experience how food is produced, how plants grow, how natural cycles work, and how much joy gardening together can bring.
The self-sufficiency garden is therefore intended not only to provide food, but also to become a place for meeting, learning, and shared experiences.

WISE Education & Forest Camp School
Our educational project, WISE Education, is also continuing to develop.
Our vision is a learning environment connected to nature – although it remains to be seen whether the term “school” is actually the right one for it.
A place where children spend a lot of time outdoors, learn independently, and at the same time acquire important knowledge about nature, nutrition, crafts, and sustainable living.
Our concept is becoming increasingly concrete.
At the same time, we continue to meet people who share our ideas and would like to accompany us in the development and possible implementation of the project.
We are particularly happy about this.
Because here, too, we do not simply want to impose a finished concept.
Together with people, families, and professionals, we want to find out what a modern learning environment connected to nature at Alma Hills could look like.
We will be able to share more information about this soon.

Our Community Rules
Alongside the development of the park, we are also working on our community rules.
We are deliberately following a simple principle:
As few rules as possible – but as many as necessary.
Alma Hills should remain a free, natural, and family-friendly place.
At the same time, a community needs some clear foundations for respectful and harmonious coexistence.
The first drafts have therefore been prepared and will be further discussed and developed together with the first owners.
Our goal is not to create a complicated collection of regulations.
We want to create a clear and understandable framework that respects individual freedom while at the same time protecting the community, nature, and the quality of life of all residents.
The Coming Months

The coming months will be particularly exciting for Alma Hills.
In addition to the work already underway, many other important steps lie ahead.

Alma Hills Is Growing
When we drive across the land today, we see more and more of what Alma Hills is intended to become.
Roads are being built.
The first house is being constructed.
At Tres Mangos, the bungalows and lodge are taking shape.
Nature is developing.
New ideas are emerging.
And more and more people are becoming part of the future community.
It is a special feeling to see how an idea is slowly becoming a real place.
A place for families.
A place for nature.
A place for community.
And above all:
A place that we continue to develop together.
We would like to thank all owners, friends, and companions for their trust, their support, and for being part of this development.
Alma Hills is far from finished.
And that is exactly what makes it so exciting.
We look forward to the coming months, to the people who will still join us, and to everything that we will be able to create here together.
Warm greetings from Alma Hills
Daniel & Daria
Stay tuned for more exciting
updates from Alma Hills.
